KheloMore Raises A $2M Pre-Series A Round

KheloMore, an Indian-based sports booking app, recently raised $2M in a Pre-Series A round led by Clear Bridge Ventures LLP’s designated partner Rajdip Gupta and Ashwin Damera, the founder of the ed-tech unicorn Eruditus.

The startup was founded in 2016 by former Indian cricketers Jatin Paranjape and Ujwal Deole and aims to make sports more accessible to Indians through its online booking platform and connects users with sports venues and coaching services.

The company plans to use the funds to expand into more cities, including Delhi, Ahmedabad, and Rajkot.

They also plan to launch cricket academies nationwide. These academies will partner with schools and other stakeholders to offer young aspiring cricketers access to a comprehensive curriculum, certified coaches, AI-driven personal coaching plans, and organized match sessions.

Currently, they work with over 1,500 coaches and have about 500,000 users. It competes with other sports tech startups like Playo and Hudle in the pay-and-play vertical.
