Exakt Health Raises €2M Seed Round

Digital sports physiotherapy startup Exakt Health has closed a €2+ million seed funding round.

The company was founded in 2021 by Lucia Payo Molina and Philip Billaudelle.

The app adapts treatment based on the user’s stage of recovery, using a combination of medical research, modern design, and technology to offer intelligent, individualized care.

Barmenia Next Strategies (BNS), the venture capital unit of Barmenia Versicherung, led the round.

Auxxo Female Catalyst Fund and business angels, including Maximilian Tayenthal and Cornelia Oelling geb. Hoppe also joined the round.

Exakt Health plans to use the funds to expand its offering for the treatment and prevention of running injuries.

In addition to the existing digital programs, Exakt Health will be introducing AI-based running training plans in the coming weeks, which offer runners individualized and dynamic training plans.

These automatically adapt to the user’s fitness level, injury risk, and progress and are designed to prevent injuries and achieve performance goals.
