Picture this…
You’re at a playoff game with your family watching your favorite team.
The stadium is packed, fans are going crazy and lines for concessions are 30 people long.
The family is starving but you don’t want to miss any of the game.
What do you do?
This is the problem StadiumDrop solves for fans.
StadiumDrop is a peer-to-peer in-seat delivery company that allows sports fans to deliver food, beverages, and merchandise to other fans in their seats.
No more long lines.
No more headaches.
No more missing critical moments.
In this interview with StadiumDrop COO Adam McAbee, we discuss how he got the company started, how they secured team partnerships, and his prediction for the future of sports.
Hello, who are you, and please describe your company.
My name is Adam McAbee, COO and Co-Founder of StadiumDrop.
StadiumDrop is a true peer-to-peer in-seat delivery company allowing sports fans a unique opportunity to deliver food, beverage, and merchandise to fans in their seats while earning extra income.
Fans can enjoy the stadium’s food, beverage, and pro shops all from the comfort of their seats so they can stay in the moments that matter the most.
What was the process of getting the company off the ground?
Being a new entrepreneur, I literally started from the ground up.
Filed the proper paperwork with the state and federal teams to get the proper tax documents etc… From there I formed a small executive team and had calls with them weekly so we could learn together and plan out our next steps.
Using my background in sales, I smiled and dialed until we got through to our first client which is still with us today.
How is the company doing today and what does the future look like?
The company has a bright future and we are gaining ground with sports leagues and major teams.
We will be doing 11 World Cup games for the moment and working to secure our first international market.
Through starting the business have you learned anything particularly helpful or advantageous for other sports founders?
This is a small yet large industry.
Relationships are key.
How big do you see this company getting?
I see StadiumDrop growing to be the premier in-seat delivery company for all major teams and sports/entertainment venues across the globe.
How did you secure partnerships with some of these leagues and teams?
Smiled and dialed until we got our first client.
From there the rest was word of mouth.
How are you all thinking about customer acquisition?
As we move forward, we will be using athlete and influencer marketing within our teams to gain new users and marketing awareness.
What’s one prediction you have for the sports industry over the next 5 years?
Globally, the sports industry is booming. I do not see this industry slowing down at all. Every sport is seeing an increase in in-person attendance.
Events like golf, F1, Soccer, and American football are all growing and as the NFL expands internationally, that league has the largest potential in my opinion.
Are you currently hiring and/or raising capital? If so, where can people find out more?
We are currently building our resumes for bench strength as we grow.
We are actively raising capital now and people can reach me directly at adam@stadiumdrop.com for either one.
